The controversy was sparked by the fact that Shotaro first posted her clips without showing her face, then she wore a surgical mask to hide her features. Weird. Anyway, her more recent clips show her (or his) face.
I’m also fascinated because she chooses a fashion style called Loli-Goth (see here). So here it is, kawaii shredding (transexual or otherwise).
I can’t say I’m a fan of her style though. It’s very cold and technical.

Nikuman’s Youtube-page shows the name “Shotaro Nakamura”, which is definitely a man’s name. His gender was also confirmed on a japanese webpage (where he was e.g. answering questions related to cross-dressing).
I did look up Shotaro to see if it’s a male name, but couldn’t find it – not that I looked too hard. To me it’s somewhat irrelevant. A loli-goth transgender shredder will do just fine.
Shotaro is absolutely Male’s name.

He said he doesn’t wear female dress in normal life and having just regular male life.
He started play guitar in female dress, then everyone liked it so he keep playing with female dress.

Amazing thing was that he said he’ve played guitar for 5 years (at 2010)

I have to say I was a bit disappointed when i heard this. She/he has several videos now I have seen which clearly shows her face. If this is a guy then I am gay for sure lol. I mean how can a guy look this damn good. Hell when even my girlfriend swears this is a girl what does that tell ya. Regardless though you can’t take anything away from this whatever gender she/he is. Damn epic if you ask me!!
