These were intended as a pair for mass production. Psyche (also Nymph or Little girl hiding Cupid’s arrows) and Amour menaçent by Étienne Maurice Falconet. I’ve included a couple of examples of Psyche with different bases. The original cast is at Sèvres – City of Ceramics.

    Amazing! I had always associated Falconnet only with huge monuments like the one of Peter I in St Petersburg. This was a surprise. By the way, apparently there are plenty reproductions of his work going around
